The UNMLA Teaching Network was formed by the eLearning Committee to give instructors who teach online (or hybrid or web-enhanced) classes a forum to ask questions, exchange ideas and information, and get to know each other in an informal setting. Because topics often are more general than online, we have expanded it to all UNMLA faculty.

We meet approximately once a month during Fall and Spring semesters, on varying days and times, to try to accommodate our different schedules. Meetings focus on questions and ideas that are brought to the table or suggested by participants. We have a Blackboard Collaborate session running during meetings , so that people who cannot physically attend can participate in the discussion. (You do not need to log in to Blackboard to participate.)

Meetings are announced via email.

How to accessf a meeting using Blackboard Collaborate

Need to call in? A Blackboard Collaborate session allows people in remote locations to join us. Instructions for setting up your computer are given in the file that is attached to this message.

Instructions for Setting Up Collaborate on your computer - The first time you use Collaborate on a PC or Mac, you will need to download and install a file on your computer, so allow an additional 15 minutes before you plan to join the meeting.

To join the meeting through Collaborate, go to the link that is included in the meeting announcement email. It will change for each meeting.

An app for using Collaborate is available for mobile devices. You can install it from here.
